It happens to be very easy to broadcast your PC card internet throughout a home or business by simply buying a router that allows PC cards to connect to it.
I first bought a wireless PC card router from a place called 3GStore.com. I recommended them on my website for buying routers and antennas for several months until one day they blamed me for hacking their affiliate link. I have no idea how to program or hack but I happily took their link off my site because they must be morons over there.
I assume their affiliate software is a crappy buggy program they bought for dirt cheap and so they decided to blame me for it being that way. Weird huh? I know.
Now getting off that rant, you can go to 3GStore Amazon.com and buy routers that you can hook a PC card into. Sprint has an internet card that also works as a wireless hotspot which means you do not even need to buy a router.
You may also want to purchase an antenna from 3GStore or Amazon.com to pick up a better signal from your wireless internet PC card from outside.
If you need to buy the antenna keep in mind how you will need to set it up.
You will have to have the card as close to it’s best signal point in the house. You will than need to position the router as close to the ceiling as possible.
Once you have fastened the router to the ceiling you need to run the antenna wire from the router to a point on your homes roof that gets the best signal.
I personally walked around on my homes roof with my PC card and laptop to find where the best signal location is.
Once you have the best location run the wire through your exterior wall near the top to the inside of the house.
The reason you need the router and PC card as close to the outside point as possible is because you only want your cable to be as long as necessary. The longer the cable gets from the PC card to the antenna the more degraded your signal. So keep that cable short.
